I know y'all can come up with some examples.

latebloomer (latebloomer), Monday, 1 December 2003 08:36 (twenty-one years ago)

"tb sheets"

Eisbär (llamasfur), Monday, 1 December 2003 08:38 (twenty-one years ago)

"Satan Spawn: The Caco Daemon"

Johnny Badlees (crispssssss), Monday, 1 December 2003 08:52 (twenty-one years ago)

Nice. Yes, all Deicide. "Lunatic of God's Creation," especially.

Seriously tho, a lot of Blondie songs, though I know the reason. Let's just say a lot of those records were coming out around the time I was reaching puberty, and my parents used to play a LOT of Blondie around the house. I still have a thing for older blondes, and while it would be a stretch to say that "Sunday Girl" puts me into any sort of frenzy, it certainly doesn't hurt.

roger adultery, Monday, 1 December 2003 08:55 (twenty-one years ago)

Actually, "Pussy" by Lords of Acid does it for me but that's because I have no imagination (or taste) whatsoever.

latebloomer (latebloomer), Monday, 1 December 2003 08:57 (twenty-one years ago)

'The Great Curve' is the one for me. Although, it's really not strange that it has that affect.

'The world moves on a woman's hips/The world moves and it swivels and bops/The world moves on a woman's hips/The world moves and it bounces and hops'

That's pretty sexy.

Debito (Debito), Monday, 1 December 2003 10:03 (twenty-one years ago)

Cheesily enough, thew whole of George Michael's 'Older' album, especially the incredibly corny 'Jesus To A Child'. Once had a wonderful one night stand with a sweet and beautiful girl who had the then all-new album on repeat all night. Ahh, those memories ...

Jay Kid (Jay K), Monday, 1 December 2003 12:18 (twenty-one years ago)

Oooh, "My Boyfriends Back" gets me hot under the collar. The line "He's kinda big and hes awful strong" is said in a "but tell you what, while hes out, we can fuck anyway"

Johnney B (Johnney B), Monday, 1 December 2003 12:30 (twenty-one years ago)

the stooges' "dirt" but it's not so strange.

brian badword (badwords), Monday, 1 December 2003 13:27 (twenty-one years ago)

Weird Al "Eat It" but it's not so strange.

Jason Connelly, Monday, 1 December 2003 13:32 (twenty-one years ago)

"Pumpkin" on Tricky's Maxinquaye, but that's largely thanks to Allison Goldgrapp. Goldfrapp's Felt Mountain features lots of songs that serve the same purpose....until that dreadful oompah track arrives and bludgeons the mood.

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Monday, 1 December 2003 14:05 (twenty-one years ago)

"Emerge" by Fischerspooner and almost any Snoop Dogg.

Markelby (Mark C), Monday, 1 December 2003 14:09 (twenty-one years ago)

"Holly Jolly Christmas"-Burl Ives
"Deeper Than the Holler"-Randy Travis
"Amos Moses"-Jerry Reed
"Ain't Gonna Eat Out My Heart Anymore"-The Rascals

Arthur (Arthur), Monday, 1 December 2003 14:21 (twenty-one years ago)

Tricky - Overcome

Johnny Badlees (crispssssss), Monday, 1 December 2003 14:25 (twenty-one years ago)

Bella Donna - Legendary Pink Dots

Let yourself go another time - Wendy and Bonnie

kinski (kinski), Monday, 1 December 2003 16:35 (twenty-one years ago)

To state the obvious: Turn It On, Sleater-Kinney gets me all hot and bothered every time.

Josh Timmermann (Josh Timmermann), Monday, 1 December 2003 22:40 (twenty-one years ago)

anything by Billy Gilman

Sonny A. (Keiko), Monday, 1 December 2003 22:47 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah, Sleater-Kinney does it for me as well, especially "Little Babies".

latebloomer (latebloomer), Tuesday, 2 December 2003 00:35 (twenty-one years ago)

There's something about SK. Mine is "One Beat."

Leee Majors (Leee), Tuesday, 2 December 2003 00:36 (twenty-one years ago)

This is embarrassing, but Killdozer's "A Man's Got to Be a Man to Be a Man!"

Michael Daddino (epicharmus), Tuesday, 2 December 2003 00:41 (twenty-one years ago)

"sister ray," and and all of royal trux's pound for pound.

lauren (laurenp), Tuesday, 2 December 2003 00:43 (twenty-one years ago)

"Prince of Darkness," Bow Wow Wow. Actually all Bow Wow Wow. Oh my god I need therapy RIGHT NOW.

Haikunym (Haikunym), Tuesday, 2 December 2003 00:44 (twenty-one years ago)

Lamb: Lusty

Nichole Graham (Nichole Graham), Tuesday, 2 December 2003 00:46 (twenty-one years ago)

Massive Attack, Protection and Teardrop. Yes, I am twisted for telling you people.

Nichole Graham (Nichole Graham), Tuesday, 2 December 2003 00:53 (twenty-one years ago)

But Lusty IS hott!

Leee Majors (Leee), Tuesday, 2 December 2003 00:55 (twenty-one years ago)

Tweet "oops"

A Nairn (moretap), Tuesday, 2 December 2003 00:57 (twenty-one years ago)

There's nothing strange about being turned on by "Oops Oh My" or "Sister Ray".... is there?

Sonny A. (Keiko), Tuesday, 2 December 2003 01:01 (twenty-one years ago)

How about the Ladytron version? That one does it for me, big-time!

Josh Timmermann (Josh Timmermann), Tuesday, 2 December 2003 01:30 (twenty-one years ago)

I feel guilty that I find "Sad Eyes" by Crowsdell kind of hot. Because the subject matter is really disturbing to the point that I could hardly listen to it for a good while, but when I started listening to it again I found the way she sings it to be really... hot. But that's probably true of a lot of their songs. The way her voice goes from breathy to growling to sweet again, in an unpredictable way.

Still, ick. I guess I try not to pay attention to the lyrics.

Blood and sparkles (bloodandsparkles), Tuesday, 2 December 2003 02:06 (twenty-one years ago)

1. Fly into the Sun (Sundial)
2. Break on Through (The Doors)
3. Kashmir (stop laughing) Led Zeppelin
4. Little Fluffy Coulds (The Orb)
5. Charlatans - (entire album Between 7th and 8th or 8th and 9th or whatever is is)
6. Manic Depression (Jimi Hendrix)
7. White Room (Cream)
8. V.A. Entire album "Electric Sugarcube Flashbacks"
9. Entire album The Miserwiserdemelza (The Prisoners)
10. Big City Bright Lights (Spacemen 3)

Golden Palominos - Drown

bnw (bnw), Tuesday, 2 December 2003 03:35 (twenty-one years ago)

I've got perfectly fine reasons for every song that turns me on.

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Tuesday, 2 December 2003 03:40 (twenty-one years ago)

but Anthony, what songs are those?

Orbit (Orbit), Tuesday, 2 December 2003 04:04 (twenty-one years ago)

oh yeah, and I should add "Mysterious Ways" (U2) to that list....

Orbit (Orbit), Tuesday, 2 December 2003 04:07 (twenty-one years ago)

some off the top of my head (none of which seem particularly strange):
"Precious" by the Pretenders
"Clyde" by the Twilight Singers
"Stairway To Heaven" by Led Zeppelin (ew did I just admit that?)
"New Radio" by Bikini Kill
"Love-Hungry Man" by AC/DC
"Seven Nation Army" by the White Stripes
"Baby's On Fire" by Brian Eno
just about anything on Tupelo Honey
songs sung directly to me by a girl

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Tuesday, 2 December 2003 04:19 (twenty-one years ago)

songs sung directly to me by a girl

Haha! Is that all it takes ;-)

Orbit (Orbit), Tuesday, 2 December 2003 04:22 (twenty-one years ago)

damn straight.

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Tuesday, 2 December 2003 04:23 (twenty-one years ago)

woah I forgot about "Dancing Days" by Led Zep. That song makes me dangerous.

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Tuesday, 2 December 2003 04:24 (twenty-one years ago)

i won't say anything about you coming to L.A. then ;-)
not a word.

Orbit (Orbit), Tuesday, 2 December 2003 04:24 (twenty-one years ago)

And how could I forget "Charles" by Scrawl!

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Tuesday, 2 December 2003 04:36 (twenty-one years ago)

Yes, 'Dirt' and 'Now I wanna be your dog' by the Stooges though, not by Kim Gordon. No offense. And 'Tight Pants'. That's all.

adfkh (maryann), Tuesday, 2 December 2003 04:44 (twenty-one years ago)

Speaking of Kim Gordon, Swimsuit Issue always sorta turned me on in a weird way.

Josh Timmermann (Josh Timmermann), Tuesday, 2 December 2003 04:47 (twenty-one years ago)

Actually, I just realised I didn't pay enough attention to this thread topic. Sorry!

aldfkg (maryann), Tuesday, 2 December 2003 04:47 (twenty-one years ago)

Upon reflection, I should also add the blair 1523 album to that list...

Orbit (Orbit), Tuesday, 2 December 2003 05:14 (twenty-one years ago)

I cannot stop posting to this thread!

Add Dukes of Stratosphear to that list....25 O'Clock
