CREATING / BURNING A MIX CD

Hi all.

I'm a little slow and I don't have a lot of time. I have a load of separate tracks that I wish to mix together (i.e. one fades in while the other fades out) and burn to CD. What's the best way to do this, bearing in mind that I also need to put track marks at the beginning of each song?

Many thanks.

Try getting the mixmeister programme. Does the trick nicely and quickly.

I think Nero allows crossfading, though I've never tried it meself

Nero does do it - but you don't get to preview it before you burn it - you have to guess how much overlap you want.

But you can download a 30 day demo version for free...

But isn't Mixmeister for MP3s? I've got honest to goodness fat old wavs. I think I'll try Nero. Many thanks.

Goldwave allows you to create one huge wave file which you can manually mark and split into cd format.

easy cd creator does it - but it has a tendency to fall over in the middle of creating the fades so you've got to save the comp listing after every track has been 'mixed'.

Best Software for this: Sonic Foundry CD ARCHITECT 5.0

You can crossfade, choose where do you want the tracks to start (allowing sound on the gaps between tracks), normalize the sound between tracks... shit, if your burner allows it, you can even make hidden tracks before track 1 (on the pregap).

Winamp has its own crossfade plugins, and you use that in conjunction with its wav-out plugin.

That Architect program is a bit expensive. Is there a 'lite' / demo version?
