Maybe you know where I can find it....

....and maybe you don't. I am trying to find a CD compilation featuring Marcello Minerbi's version of "Zorba's Dance" from the film "Zorba the Greek". It was a hit in the U.K. - and elsewhere in the world - in 1965 on the EMI Durium label (DRS 54001). All of my attempts to locate a CD featuring Minerbi's version of this track have failed. The version (from the film soundtrack) by Mikis Theodorakis is widely available, but not what I'm after. It's also possible to buy the original EMI 7" on Ebay etc. but I'm specifically looking for Minerbi's 1965 recording on CD. If anyone out there can shed some light on this for me, I'll send them a cheque for £10 - or we can sort out some means of transferring the money electronically if you'd prefer. Or you can receive a mystery gift from the shelves of my study. So - there's an incentive. Yet another incentive: it's for my Dad for Christmas and he's a charming, genial, sensitive, fun and compassionate chap that you'd almost certainly like if you met him. So, you can have a signed photo of my Dad too. What's stopping you? Many thanks - and love to all you good people.

If it's meant as a special gift for your dad, wouldn't it be a lot nicer to present him with the original 45 (maybe even framed) and then burn or get a friend to burn the track to CD?

Thanks for the suggestion, Sean - it's a good idea. It's not a straightforward gift, though. My dad recently borrowed a cassette tape from a friend of his featuring this track. It had been recorded from a CD that my dad's friend borrowed from a local library. My dad attempted to copy the cassette and, in the process, erased it. Naturally, he was pretty upset about this - the friend only had the one cassette copy and borrowed the CD some years ago. His local library no longer has it! Does anyone reading this still have the will to live? Why are you still reading this? Anyway - thanks again for your input.
