Who are the true rulers of Dublin's ArtRock scene?

for all that I know former and current people from the Cake, my money is on Estel, but that maybe is because they are newer to me.

Let's start this one off by going for the Cake, for the following reasons :

1. My band played with them once
2. I know one of them
3. I've never heard Estel.

They are kind of Art Rock, only with lots of ROCK. When I saw them they had two drummers on one of their songs. A lot of the music is kind of angular. Like the Cake, there are no vocals.

If you're interested, they're playing in the Project on December 20th with The Chalets and WARLORDS OF PEZ and some other bands. this is probably the best lineup ever assembled for a Dublin gig and I recommend all people who live in Dublin to attend. I think Lara is going, I know I am.

and I think Rener is game for it too, and might also come along to the gig.

"this is probably the best lineup ever assembled for a Dublin gig"

this is an unfeasibly bold claim. greater than handel at fishamble street?

Handel wasn't on the same lineup as interstellar conquerors from another galaxy.

that is a great track.

apparently it was inspired by Lenehans Hardware Store on Talbot Street.

I saw Estel again on Saturday, supporting the Ex. They rocked hard, so I am now very much looking forward to that gig this coming saturday where they are sharing a bill with The Chalets, THE WARLORDS OF PEZ, and some band from Cork.
