The Dynamite Masters Blues Quartet (DMBQ) is a great band from Tokyo that has released about 6 albums (and a remix album).

OOIOO - they keep getting better... Green and Gold is my favorite! Shock City Shockers Vol. 2 is very good too. I have sung the praises of the OOIOO drummer Yoshiko who also is in DMBQ elsewhere, I'm a believer.

the woman (yoshiko) on the far right of this picture is the most unbelievable drummer i've ever witnessed. she is most famous outside of japan for her drumming with the band OoioO.
