Did anyone else have the good fortune to see them last night?

They were fucking marvelous, like seeing prime time Mondays or ACR fronted by an overweight Mick Jagger. Or possibly like the James Brown Soul Review on some very good e. Or maybe not, my heads still a bit messed.

yeah great stuff. i was a little worried as the crowd seemed a bit stiff in the beginning but after about 2 songs everone warmed up. great set, really liked all the new songs. the whole band, nic in particular (well i guess he is the only one who says anything), just seemed so psyched to be there.

!!! were fantastic!!!
really got everyone moving and shaking there ass. really cool rythym breaks and tight. Me and guiliani song rocks! They all are dancing on the stage too.
Its a pity the bass was so high so you couldnt really hear the funky guitar too well.

I love the M83 album but was disappointed with them live. They have a live drummer which is cool, but partly due to the bass-heavy sound there, it lost all the bird tweets and little effects so each song kinda sounded a bit too similar without much structure. A bit too quiet-loud forumla i guess. But they were still good.

I'd agree with Mr Monket about M83, they were OK, not outstanding, but it was nice to at least see them try with a full band - I was 1/2 expecting to see 2 geezers with laptops and effects.

I thought Electralene were fucking awful, 6th form band rubbish, I don't know why they were on the same bill. The guitarist was a bit saucy though...

Yeah, they are a great live band....I was kinda skeptical until I saw them open for Har Mar and Trans Am once. Even if you don't like the records they have a fun party vibe like seeing Red Hot Chili Peppers or Happy Mondays (or so I'm told).
