Perhaps the most haunting song i have heard. The ambient whirls in the background, The sing song nursey rhymes of the vocal. It chills me to the bone. Comment on the rest of the Album if you wish.

it's intriguing, though my mp3 sound quality is fucked...her version of I don't like mondays is eqaully great, powerfu in its lightness. yum

Your slightly strange spelling and punctuation confuses me. Are you saying Eminem has a song called 'Bonnie & Clyde' which Tori Amos has done a cover of?

DV, Sunday, 9 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I did not spell anything wrong but the punction was troublesome. Yes , in fact the enire new album is covers .

anthony, Sunday, 9 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Is Eminem's version of 'Bonnie & Clyde' anything to do with Serge Gainsbourg's?

DV, Sunday, 9 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I did not spell anything wrong

Apart from "Amoss" and "nursey", that is...

Andrew L, Sunday, 9 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Amoss was meant to be the possesive of Amoss. It needed an aphostrophe. Nursey was meant as a sort of double entrndre. I did mispell entendre

Sorry Anthony, as soon as I posted that I realised how pissy it was - but I do sometimes find that yr eccentric spelling etc. does interfere w/the clarity of yr message....

Andrew L, Sunday, 9 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

nothing to do with gainsebourg - bonnie and clyde 97 is the eminem song off the slim shady lp, sequel to the song kim released as a prequel on the marshall mathers lp 2 yeard later.

my thoughts on this are here

ethan, Sunday, 9 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Its okay . I consider this more like a conversation. plus i am tired. I will try to spell better.

anthony, Sunday, 9 September 2001 00:00 (twenty-four years ago)

(i know this is silly, but whenever someone does that ethan just did — ie "my thoughts on this are here" — i have a mental picture of them on dropping on one knee just as the blue lines begin, arms out and hands shimmering, jolson-style... )

(jolson invented hiphop, y'know...)

Awful, awful moment in Tori's career, this cover. The only thing I like from these sessions is her cover of David Bowie's "After All"---a b-side in the Strange Little Girl single.

i wonder what ethan's thoughts on this were!

i think it's a great cover.

hven't heard this!

I did not spell anything wrong but the punction was troublesome.

You gotta love that winning attitude!

A few months back I had a lengthy argument with a friend about this. I tend to think that the creepy horror this cover emphasizes is already present in the original.

BIG HOOS aka the steendriver, Sunday, 5 October 2008 21:15 (seventeen years ago)

yeah def, i think the cover redirects the horror (on to the original narrator) really effectively, the feel is of the dead wife coming back for some sort of creepy psychic revenge
