wow! I don't remember writing that! Okay, um...(I'm not prepared so bear with me!)....I do love Masta though, the most underrated of all the Juice Crew all stars....I think his early 90s stuff is great, along with Kool G Rap's Live and Let Die and Biggie's early stuff some of the first east coast guys to embrace West Coast style sounds, which paved the way for the more universal sounds of say a Jay-Z (later period)....He's a great lyricists, I remember loving "Jeep Ass Ni99uh" alot..It's been along time since I've listened to it, so I hope it's still as good as I remember....Also, next album had Sittin on Chrome a classic single!

Masta Ace is one of the few rappers who you can watch growing up with each release. from the go lucky Rhymin' with the Biz, to the teenage angst/disillusioned early adult kinda stuff in Slaughtahouse, and with his most recent, Illegal Arts, he's grown up into some form of an adult, explaining where he's been what he's seen and thus teaching to others what not to repeat. I hope he keeps creating it's been a fun ride.

yeah, I never got that Illegal Arts I need to track that down. I heard good things.

It was Disposable Arts not Illegal Arts... i've currently fascinated by the plunder scene...

one year passes...

i dont really like how ace raps that much these days (i think he might be better off narrating childrens story books, i never understood the hype over long hot summer) but theres a new doom and ace album coming apparently.
not really that excited about it but this is a taster apparently -

but its not mixed very well, vocals far too loud.

sittin on chrome had its moments but the 'concept' was a bit overstretched and didnt really add up to much. people in my neighbourhood was great though, and obv, born to roll.
