A friend just gave me this album, I wonder if I should listen to it

Comateens were a second (or third)tier NYC punkactuallynewave band. Biggest claim to fame was playing in the lobby at the infamous no wave fest at Irving Plaza ca. 78-79. Went on to major label synth-pop slickness in the early/mid 80s (the LP). I remember their female lead singer as being pretty good, but the material was utterly blah.

Man, how timid, weak minded and spineless can someone get to actually ask someone else if they should listen to an album, and then take a stranger's answer as the final word without even venturing to make their own mind up about the music.
