Why does everyone like "Roses" so much? I always felt it was too stupid, and not stoopid enough. But it gets enough love around here ("here" being everywhere) that I'm thinking my initial reaction to the song - snooze - was off-base.

Roses is gloriously ridiculous and humorous, it's fantastic. Buzz bass, sHingalong chorus with cursing (giggles like a schoolgirl) and the closest thing to early Prince on TLB. The outro is to die for also.

I've said it before and I'll say again that "Roses" just awful awful awful. And I think any affection I had for "Hey Ya" has been sapped by the live performance on that VH1 awards show.
