I'm actually very curious about the kinds of people who start threads and the kinds of people who don't. Sometimes I look at the all-time statscock and notice that, like, Anthony Easton and Nicolars have about the same number of total posts, but Anthony's started like 800 threads and Nicolars has only started 30. Whoa!

I don't start very many myself, probably because I'm not the initiating type in other social contexts, either. (When I did improv in college, I always liked when other people started scenes, because it let me focus on what I could offer; the idea of starting a scene myself sometimes seemed too open-ended and intimidating.) But I'm thinking that maybe I should start more.
