It's not a bad list anyway! a few of those records are from last year but irrelevent I guess. one is from 2 years ago though!

Get On by Moguai really is a great record.

that Shadow track ft Roots was weak i thought, pretty meh list over all - many choices seem tokeny - and weren't Vitalic and RJD2 last year? there have been much better tracks than many of these this year (my top 100 coming eventually)

stevem (blueski), Tuesday, 9 December 2003 13:56 (twenty-one years ago)

in all fairness tho, i haven't heard at least 10 of these ;)

stevem (blueski), Tuesday, 9 December 2003 13:57 (twenty-one years ago)

...and a mix featuring all those tracks would actually be quite cool

wasn't the poney ep released ages ago?

What does meh mean?
i thought it was a fun list because there's a lot of really exciting stuff on there and it's not all from one genre (like fucking electroclash) and better than the dodgy list of singles and LPs of the year that were in the magazine...
(I think the point with the Poney thing was that people are still playing it - it does say tunes that rocking the dancefloor this year or something, besides The Face continually harp on about it)

Last year.

Good list, though reminds me a little of the chin-strokers I hung with at uni ie that Shadow remix was in no way worth the tenner a couple mates spent on the promo - it's just alright - and the RJD2 track is one of the few worthwhile things he's done in the final analysis. Still, for all that I own like, 8% of the list (with an eye on a couple tracks), I do have the best thing on it.

What does meh mean?

meh means 'so so' - not particularly satsifying, no big deal...

I noticed that the Poney EP is still listed as the top selling techno 12" in quite a lot of online vinyl stores.

Cameltoe an underground record!?!?

(although it should have been a lot MORE overground obviously)

DJ Mencap (DJ Mencap), Tuesday, 9 December 2003 15:08 (twenty-one years ago)

i have to say this is probably the most singles i've liked in any list like this recently

fiddo centington (dubplatestyle), Tuesday, 9 December 2003 15:09 (twenty-one years ago)

and even then i only love "poney"
