I think that it rather serves to illustrate that the people who maintain that there is an easily discerned dichotomy between the maunfactured and non-manufactured band are fooling themselves. Sugababes were cited as an example of a non-manufactured band; they were friends who formed a band and worked hard to make it blah blah blah. The distinctiveness of their first single and its superiority to a lot of chart pop undoubtably helped. But, lo! One of them leaves and is replaced by an Atomic Kitten cast-off. Hmmm......

I loved Sugababes. They always wear these sexy sexy boots that actually look worn. Not worn down & dirty, but they have scuffs and marks on their soles as though these young girls have walked around in them for qwuite a while and not just put them on for a video.

we don't have the sugababes in America, and I thank god. American Manufactured pop kills this stuff hands down. The songs are better, the production is better , and the performances are better. I saw their video for the first time just now, and it is shocking. Things must be incredibly shit in England right now if that stuff is charting over there. Sugababes would never make it in America.

As bad as N'Sync are, they would eat there three little girls for Breakfast. Where is Britney when you need her?

When I was looking through my CD's today I looked at (the superlative) Honey To The Bee and had a horrible thought. Did Billie marry Chris Evans? I honestly can't remember whether this happened or not. Seems doubtful.
