Michael becomes David Bowie

Um ... wha?

I'm not sure WHAT you mean, Ned. He seems just as loopy as ever - no more, no less.

Is it an old known thing that he's removed his big afro-framed face from the cover of Off The Wall? Or is that new?

check the discography...

I think that was the back of the album cover. Wasn't it a gatefold jacket that folded open to show him full-figure? But yeah, you'd think the part with his face would be the front, not his feet.

David Bowie? Er..... that made no sense. Michael Jackson is finally getting interesting. Bowie's audience sip lattes and snap their fingers a la "Blue Jean" video these days at his concerts.... MJ's, at least, are proper freaks. I'll take that kind of crowd anyday.

Even better about MJ is that he's palatable to freaks and housewives. Anyone who is that great an equalizer deserves some attention.

Hey, what do you mean? I prefer pounding mimosas and throwing TVs out of the window.

<> - that really says it all, doesn't it??? Amen to that! David Bowie, while being subversive enough for the freaks, doesn't tip he scary scale of the truly subversive cultural terrorist and make the Iowa housewife sing along as well. Bowie's a genius, no doubt..... but Michael? Well.... he's not exactly "pretending" to be God, let's face it guys.
