Captain Comatose "Going Out"

My band opened for Captain Comatose (who rocked) last night and so's I managed to score a copy of their album at the end of the show. Now I can't stop playing the thing! I think this is one of the most seriously stripped down slinky dance records i've heard in a long time. What gives?

Great live, eh? proper gay disco music. ive only heard a few tracks of the Album but they are excellent.

Khan has always verged on the thread between fun & irritating for me in the past, both live and on record. But he and Snax are just plain fun together. They also conjured up a real Minneapolis Sound c.'83 thing during some songs, that Vanity 6 "pitch bent chords and handclaps " feel. Rilly cool.

i love love love captain comatose but i can't find their album!!

my favorite 303 moment this year (in this, the year of overused and overrated 303) is the bassline in their remix of gusgus' "david".

I haven't heard Up In Flames yet but the songs they played from it when I saw them live at the beginning of the year were ace.

Going Out is a really underrated album I think.
