i should note that for some reason most of my real-life new york fuckin slang was 'edited' into patronizing crit-speak. fuck, did the name of the album really need to be wedged into the review multiple times? it's not like people don't know what they're reading about for christ's sake. anyway i think the editing gets better after the first two paragraphs, and really the review in general too. oh yeah.

(unused second choice for thread title quote: paris - sleeping with the enemy)

(please be gentle, it's my first time etc etc)

You make a compelling case for checking out the album, although I'm worried by the statement that the first three songs are much better than the rest of the album. I'm being numb and stupid; why have I heard Mike Ladd's name before? Who is he? There was a chunk of context that I felt like I was missing because I didn't have a biographical reference (and I never realized that I looked for that in a review before reading yours).

infesticons?

yeah i really apoligize for the sketchy unfinishedness of the review, especially considering what ending up becoming its intended audience. re: the downhill-after- the-first-three-tracks thing; please bear in mind that the first three songs = the best songs ever. dan, YOU WILL LOVE THIS ALBUM so buy it. thank you that is all. shit, i just re-read it, that's a motherfucker of an opening paragraph, ain't it? what the hell am i on about? oh well.

(yes mike ladd = infesticons, but that rocks a party in ways afterfuture can't, at the expense of like, beauty and shit though)

Y'know, Ethan, I would've looked at this thread a lot earlier if you had gone with the second choice. Did the devil make you do it?

ethan - that bit in brackets about the infesticons album = most accurate review of it yet :)
