Kraftwerk website

Has the official Kraftwerk site just been updated or has it always been this cool? It works kind of like a drum machine where you can record your own music and play it back, but it's very simplistic and minimal, with appropriate graphics. I also just realised that if you go to the page with the wave on it and click the forward and back arrows, you can choose to listen to things like the Expo 2000 theme, or go to 'The Robots', where you can click on Robots that make noises, and if you wait a while there another arrow comes up, and you can make some Robots dance - !

Are there any other sites like this on the interweb?

in ninth grade i used to crack up all my friends in computer lab by going to kraftwerk.com daily. it was a bit different then, but still fantastic. also the main kraftwerk logo stolen from there was my desktop picture for a while.

The Amon Tobin part of the Ninja Tune website has (or had, I haven't checked very recently) a Tobin simulator that's kinda fun.

I love that site - it's so playful!

I have mixed feelings about their website. I think it is too much flash candy and absolutely zero real content. Also, you would think a group with the resources of Kraftwerk would have better flash movies and perhaps video streams. I would love to be able to download their videos from that site.

Thank goodness for the fan sites, they are the only source of info about Kraftwerk these days. The shame is that Kraftwerk used to have a really good site, back before Flash wrecked the internet. :)
