teeny (teeny), Tuesday, 16 December 2003 18:56 (twenty-one years ago)

not surprisingly, it sounds kinda like 80s bowie.

teeny (teeny), Tuesday, 16 December 2003 18:58 (twenty-one years ago)

but not in a great way.

teeny (teeny), Tuesday, 16 December 2003 18:58 (twenty-one years ago)

I haven't heard this yet. BUT I WANT TO. I expect I will find it inoffensively pleasant.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Tuesday, 16 December 2003 18:59 (twenty-one years ago)

yeah, that's about it. Sorry I don't have an mp3, you'll have to wait about 4 hours until I get home.

teeny (teeny), Tuesday, 16 December 2003 19:00 (twenty-one years ago)

is it a cover of the Cher song? Please tell me it is.

teeny (teeny), Tuesday, 16 December 2003 19:51 (twenty-one years ago)

teeny (teeny), Wednesday, 17 December 2003 00:30 (twenty-one years ago)

I just got home!

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 17 December 2003 03:48 (twenty-one years ago)

Heh. Robert Smith, if you believe his lyrics, has been losing body parts since 1985... I'm charmed, though. Henh. Mmmm. Gooey.

Ann Sterzinger (Ann Sterzinger), Wednesday, 17 December 2003 04:03 (twenty-one years ago)

Wow, I had actually heard this before! I love it!

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 17 December 2003 04:11 (twenty-one years ago)

The older I get, the less I'm able to tolerate wealthy rock stars complaining.

Chris Ott (Chris Ott), Wednesday, 17 December 2003 04:36 (twenty-one years ago)

Also, is anyone else picking up on them stealing the lick from Fiction Records' only non-Cure hit, Eat's "Mr. And Mrs. Smack"?

Chris Ott (Chris Ott), Wednesday, 17 December 2003 04:50 (twenty-one years ago)

The older I get, the less I'm able to tolerate wealthy rock stars complaining.

So, basically you fall into the "all songs are autobiographical camp"?

"The further I get from the things that I care about, the less I care about how much further away I get..."

Seb, Thursday, 18 December 2003 00:25 (twenty-one years ago)

This is great!

I do mercilessly consume all Cure-related things like a deranged locust though. Therefore, pay me no heed.

Muppet Boy, Thursday, 18 December 2003 02:46 (twenty-one years ago)

(HAHA for those wondering Muppet Boy is neither me nor Ned.)

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Thursday, 18 December 2003 02:47 (twenty-one years ago)

OR AM I?

*gasp*

Muppet Boy, Thursday, 18 December 2003 02:52 (twenty-one years ago)

That too Seb.

Chris Ott (Chris Ott), Thursday, 18 December 2003 03:02 (twenty-one years ago)

That said, I think this is pretty good for new Cure-related stuff. I like the melody, and the lyrics are nicely written (if it wasn't the 500th time he was saying it.)

Seb, Thursday, 18 December 2003 06:32 (twenty-one years ago)

Just downloading this now, so I thought I'd pass the time by saying how much I like the track Robert's done on the new Blink 182 album. A million times more lovely than a collaboration between such incongruous bedfellows has any right to be.

CharlieNo4 (Charlie), Thursday, 18 December 2003 14:26 (twenty-one years ago)

Been too busy for the past week. Might say something tonight.
