avoid the Arabian Prince like the plague!

MC Ren had some good early stuff....

Eazy E's first album is classic - definite buy...

Dr. Dre's early stuff (usually pre-NWA comps) proceed with caution

I think DJ Yella had some albums I never heard...

Also, he's not NWA-related but I always thought King T was pretty great, most of the stuff I've heard from him is solid, and he's definitely of the same era and feel.

(the MC Ren I was thinking of was Kizz My Black Azz which is 92 so not that early really...it's been along time since I heard it.)

Also, The DOC's No One Can Do It Better is as good as any somewhat NWA related project ever (Dre produces most if not all)

A sorta NWA related sleeper - The CPO - To Hell and Black

Search:

Eazy-E - Eazy-Duz-It
Ice Cube - AmeriKKKa's, Death Certificate
Westside Connection - Bow Down

Search if you find money on the sidewalk:

Ice Cube - Predator, Lethal Injection
Westside Connection - Terrorist Threats

If you're unsure, check out The N.W.A Legacy, Vol. 1: 1988-1998

I think Matt's pretty much nailed it..... Eazy Duz It is pretty solid, but I can't imagine when I'd ever feel like listening to it these days.

Dre's 2001 is essential as far as I'm concerned.

Eazy-E's snoop/dre diss 'Real Muthaphukkin G's', as well as being a prime example of the 'hip hop spellcheck', is fantastic.

Search also the immortal classic Natural Born Killaz by Dre/Cube
