How very Un-Roger Adultery: I'm so into this Longwave song

Always assumed they were crap, but I'm pretty obsessed with "Tidal Wave" right now - especially when those harmonies come in! What a beautiful song (has a bit of a Buffalo Tom-goes-shoegaze sorta production sound to it, no?). Is any of their other stuff this good?

"Pool Song" is a happy jolly thing, and sounds just like a Strokes song with a big crunchy distorto-solo.

What happened to Longwave, anyway? They were 'next big thing' material for about two weeks at the beginning of 2001, but seem to have disappeared. Their website says that an album came out in February this year, but I can't recall seeing it reviewed or for sale anywhere.

i think "tidal wave" is a really fantastic song. the EP version is superior to the album though. they do have quite a few songs that are as or almost as good, like "everywhere you turn" and "exit".

the LP did indeed come out and is quite good, although the production doesn't really suit them all that well.
