What are those parodies of?

The Clinic one is an Ornette Coleman ripoff, J-Live is modelled on Coltrane's "Blue Train". The Joe Jackson one looks really familiar (has to be an Impulse release - no?) but I can't spot it off the bat.

Tone Loc's "Loc'd After Dark" to thread...

most of these are going to be blue not rip offs just because the design was so striking and recognizable

The new Yo La Tengo EP is Ornette Coleman's Something Else, but I'm scared to try to post a picture.

That Joe Jackson album cover is taken from Sonny Rollins Vol. 2 on Blue Note

The cover to the Cows' "Cunning Stunts" was inspired by Eric Dolphy's "Out to Lunch."

The first Spain album. Guru's Jazzmatazz.

A rather obscure example: One of Titanic Love Affair's albums nicked from Thelonious Monk's "Genius of Modern Music."

Neil Young's late '80s blues/soul album (can't remember title) probably qualifies.

So far Joe Jackson's "Body & Soul" looks to be the pioneer. I wonder if we can come up with an earlier entry. For clarity's sake, it should be modeled after a specific jazz album cover.

Universal Congress Of's "This is Mecolodics" is taken from an Ornette Coleman album. Though whether that band is best described as rock or fake jazz is debatable.

(It's on Blue Note, but whatever. This thread could be called "The Enduring Impact of Reid Miles's Blue Note Sleeve Designs")
