Sorry - I know this will have been discussed before, but need to vent my spleen.

So it was a toss up between the Darkness (a novelty band and the epitome of the Emperor's New Clothes metaphor) and an REM-at-their-worst-style, inappropriate, miserable Tears For Fears cover, which only won because it has been rendered as an apparently meaningful, 'beaudiful' piano ballad.

Give me Cliff Richard any day...

Totally agree with you Jez,those two tracks are rubbish,especially that hideous 'Mad World' cover.Have a great Christmas,all the best for 2004.
