Ghostface isn't the first Wu member I'd have pictured doing an 80's synthpop number, but he did. I think I hear a Final Fantasy theme too. Download here.

I think it's cool but sometimes the rapping sounds like it can't keep up with the beat. Tell me how that's the 'beauty of it' already and get it over with.

You're talking to a guy with a Neighborhoodie that says Supreme Clientele and I can't even cosign this song. It's just kind of an awkward mix of sounds that never really pans out. Plus this song is like a year old.

Yeah, but it seems more topical now. This also reminds me of the "Riddim Warfare" song Kool Keith did with DJ Spooky. THere are 4-5-second pockets where things come together but otherwise, everything sounds really labored.

What a boring fucking thread idea.

when it gets too fast he flows like kool keith = maybe not so good. but i want to like it so i'll listen more

I too am kinda feelin' this.

I'm very wishy-washy about this one. Al and Johnny, how loud are you playing it? If I'm blasting it, it's strong. At low volume everything sounds mistimed and annoying. Is there a thread about volume-sensitive music?

who produced this? i think i do like it, and wish he would do more party jams. but the beat itself sounds off-kilter at times; i think his rapping is fine. anyone know what significance "theodore" has for him? he mentions the name in this track as well as "holla"

Isn't this the song he did with Cassius?

Matthew Perpetua (Matthew Perpetua), Friday, 26 December 2003 22:45 (twenty-one years ago)

yes, it's well over a year old and there's an excellent remix by The Streets.

stevem (blueski), Friday, 26 December 2003 23:35 (twenty-one years ago)

I was JUST going to post that I really don't like the Streets remix of that song. H-hey.
