I hate these sites. Warp even. Tell me what I need to click on and lets go. I get plenty of suggestions about groups to check out and say screw it. I hate movin my mouse around trying to find a clickable piece. Web design people stop trying to be so pretentious and arty.

i stopped keeping up with html around 1993-4. I don't even really remember tables/frames anymore. I don't know what stylesheet is or how to use one. I think images suck. i just can't be bothered to learn fancy things for the sake of, essentially, aesthetic appeal.

fuck fashion > utilitarianism.

Yeah, I hate that too. Even on non-flash sites where sections normally named "photos" and "discography" are called idiotic things like 'electra-blink storehouse' and 'the plastic hut'. "But if you were really interested in the band, you wouldn't mind doing a little digging!" Well who said I had to be interested?

Also, sites that supply sound effects for every tiny movement of your mouse, ruining whatever song you were listening to. And fuck little indie sites that function as extensions of the band's diminutive sound/personality by shunning fancy webtrickery but opting for tiny, bland, nondescript, washed-out nothingness. If I click on this little b/w photobox, will I get to see yet another shot of the bassist sitting on a rock with a humble facial expression? Oh BOY the excitement!

It's like these folks are trying to devise the next user interface. The world can have both a nice design and aesthetic appeal and also be functionable. The next interface needs a symbol understandable. BTW, I hate roommates.
