Dre, Botti and Bacharach

Botti is much more enjoyable as a sideman, and even then he is very close to being completely annoying. He could possibly considered as the Kenny G of the trumpet if he continues in the direction he is headed in. The only cd that I can stand to listen to of his is "Night Sessions" and I think that is more because of the musicians he surrounded himself with than that of the compositions themselves.
