It's a great way to get out of enforced partying and make some dosh at the same time. Who's doing it?

Not I, unfortunately, although not for lack of trying. I was too "weird" for NYE.

God, I can't wait until my monthly starts.

I do, but I have mixed all the tracks in advance so it won't be very demanding.

freaks come out at night...

Teen Challenge Drug Addict Choir (mjt), Tuesday, 30 December 2003 08:39 (twenty-one years ago)

Yep. Our gig in Milwaukee was specifically chosen to be the most-over-the-top party possible, at this tiny joint that's crazy enough on a normal weekend. No selling out this year, it's all about the fun.

I'm DJ'ing a short set here in Seattle -- "Heaven & Hell Ball" at this huge 'alternative art space,' Consolidated Works -- IQU, Lifesavas, and the Decemberists are playing this thing, & it should be fun as, well, hell.

I do, but there's the unfortunate matter of this coffin lid...

It could be called ILM VIPs on NYE in NYC.

My gig was indifferent - like background music for pissed revellers with their shirts off. How did the rest of you go?

i played 2002 mashups to a raucous family gathering before they trotted off to the fireworks and i sat on my verandah listening to martin denny with the few pissed stragglers.

gaz (gaz), Thursday, 1 January 2004 12:27 (twenty-one years ago)

Short electro/rock set at Strudel, gaz. Lotsa walk-ins. Nice audience, but too out of it to really notice what was playing.

My brass band gig was off the hook. Band sounded great, crowd was having a good time. After midnight we did a second line down Brady Street and took everyone in the bar with us (we came back of course).
