"Your body, my body, everybody" or something like that

While I was browsing through the audio clips for some disco compilations, I came across what I presume is the original version of this that Psychic TV sampled on "Your Body." Unfortunately, I didn't make a note of the band, song title, or even CD. Does anyone know who did this song and what it's called?

What a stupid Subject line.

There is a eurodisco song from -94 with that exact lyric.

"Your body, my body, everybody, move your body"
Look twice - "Move that body" (I think it's really crappy, even by eurodisco standards)

Psychic TV "Your Body" was from 1988 or earlier, and I'm sure this was a sample. It may just be the sort of thing that works well as a sample.

(Where's the copy of Live at the Subterranea I ordered? I'm almost too embarrassed to call up and ask about it.)

Sounds like "Let's All Chant" by the Michael Zager Band.

Thanks, I'm pretty sure that's it. Now I remember why I wasn't more excited by discovering the original: I don't like the rest of the singing on it (at least on this brief clip).

'Let's All Chant' also covered by Pat & Mick ('88) - a SAW production - and Gusto ('96) - both shite tho

The song also appears on the soundtrack to the motion picture Eyes of Laura Mars.

nine months pass...
The group Look Twice does that song. The song is okay, but if you want something more catchy you should check out a band called SMiLE (also known as SMiLE.dk). One of the girl singers from Look Twice is now in that group. Their music is really awesome! ;)

That sample can now be heard on Psychic TV's Live in Astoria, which is frustratingly good at times.

it's either that or the other! curiously i'm hearing lots of hype on this but nowt out and about yet.

or something, Friday, 22 February 2008 01:30 (seventeen years ago)

it has leaked, i think. i like the core bit of the song but it's ruined by being swathed in all that pointless noisy ed banger junk. im holding out for some good remixes of it.

stevem, what do you think of this track?
