er, it may have been released in Germany at the very end of 1989 - it never seemed to be regarded as big in Ibiza or anything and seems markedly different from the big Balearic buzz tracks of that time but i'm sure it was hovering around that Summer here and there.

Well, since we have Orb fans in da haus right now, could I get away with using the album version of "Little Fluffy Clouds" on my upcoming 1991 mix (album being released in 91)? Or would that be too close to a version released on the late 1990 singles for it? (I don't own the singles). (and, well, Billy used a different Orb track for 1990 anyway, so I'm just asking in the midst of the CDR 700MB Go!ds for potential technicalities)

stevem, I take note of your quibbles but the 808 State, Kylie and Jane's Addiction tracks were all originally released in 1990, though it's true the singles weren't out till the following year.

2 in a Room charted Jan 91 but had been around for months before then and Saint Etienne's Only love... was first released May 90, the July 90 remix 12" has the Official Saint Etienne world cup theme.

As for Snap, Turbo B was an irritating wanker and the success and love of the Power is baffling in the extreme.
