does anyone know anything about The Ninjas (pre-Black Dice band)?

Eric from Black Dice's other band? A discography might help. I found a few Ninjas 7"s and if it is indeed the same Ninjas, they're going up on ebay if anyone's interested.

ninjas is still kind of going. my friend pressed up a full-length around xmas of last year. i also have a 7" from (i think) 2001. in addition to INDIE POP and WEIRD, i would add AWESOME.

and fyi, neither have any writing on the label. also fyi, if you get stoned and accidentally play at the wrong speed it sounds like the best record ween never made.

my Ninja's 7" doesn't have any writing on the label. I have a white label copy of the Ninjas 12" and it says "why was rosie o' donnel's visa revoked when she tried to enter holland?" on one side and "they already had a big fat ugly lazy dumb dyke, happy chanukah" on the other side. I then have a neatly printed silkscreen sleeved 12" that says "Ninjas is Eric w/ Assman" What's Your Rupture? 01, Play @ 45" and "contact no_beats@hotmail.com" on the label. Sure to be a collector's item...

Thanks everybody. The two 7"s are up on ebay if anyone's interested (Ian), along with lots of other recent storage discoveries - ain't I a shameless stinker?

jack cole (jackcole), Wednesday, 7 January 2004 07:55 (twenty-one years ago)

yeah, they were on Blackbean and Placenta so they had pretty shitty presentation (photocopied sleeves, handwritten labels...)
