Junior Boys remix MBV's Soon

A friend told me the Junior Boys had remixed MBV's Soon.
Is this true? And if so, is it any good? And is it a legal release ?(hopefully indicating the rerelease of MBV Soon - maybe as part of rumoured Glide boxset)

There was a remix way back in 1990 or so - could this be the same thing? It came out as a 12" single and was on the Creation 'Keeping the Faith' dance music compilation.

It was OK but I wouldn't lose any sleep about tracking it down if you've not heard it.

Or is this a brand new remix of which you speak?

There was an andrew weatherall remix of "soon" BITD -- it's not aged as well as the original, IMHO...

The Junior Boys had their first record out a few months ago - ergo this is a whole new thing, if it exists. Very interested to hear more...

Oh right, I thought it might just be short for Junior Boy's Own, and therefore might have been that old Weatherall remix.

I think my friend might have been thinking about the Junior Boy's Own remix (it's easy to see where the confusion occured) - and your're right it is hardly one of Weatherall's finest moments.

I heared the weatherall mix first and bought it on the spot.

About a month later, bought the original and was knocked out all over again...

There was a JBO 2CD comp issued fairly recently, wasn't there? I think it has the Andy Weatherall mix on it, and maybe that's the source of the confusion.
