Describe! Please! I haven't been allowing myself to download all these leaked albums, I'm waiting to hear them... Liars, Mod. Mouse, Walkmen, Hold Steady... now Hella. Does anything sound like "Biblical Violence," which is one of the best songs ever?

So far, I get the idea that it's not as good as the previous EP or previous album (or any of the three Lightning Bolt albums, for that matter); in fact, so far as I can tell, it's not catchy at all....

It sounds like the bitches ain't shit but good people ep mixed with total bugs bunny. only not near as melodic. the first five seconds of the record (a touchtone phone-guitar duet) are the best. the album's called the devil isn't red.

Not a good sign. Everything since Hold Your Horse Is has given me the impression that the guitarist was getting bored with playing riffs and wanted to do more stompboxy noise stuff— IMHO, exactly the wrong direction to go in.

Yall are crazy. Then again, I can listen to Zach Hill play drums all day. I'm a sucker for killer technical drumming, I guess. But I really like the new album.
Search the live side of their split CD with some band whose name escapes me at the moment - that one is fantastic
