I guess my favorite overall type of music right now is Afro-Latin (esp. salsa, whatever that means). But I also like: Arabic music (mostly pre-80s styles though); NYC downtown avant-garde jazz for white hipsters who don't like jazz (this is very unfair to everyone involved, or at least to the musicians); a little classic rock; lots of Anglophone popular music from the 70s; etc. I'm planning on liking more Indian music.
