Paula Campbell - "Take You Home"

her previous single, btw, was #25 on my '03 singles list, and this is what I wrote about it:

25. Paula Campbell featuring Tim Trees - “How Does It Feel?”
I’m mostly going for national hits here, but I had to include one hometown joint that rocked Baltimore all year. I actually remember driving across the Bay Bridge on new year’s day 2003 when one of the 2 rap stations in town at the time debuted this song, boasting about how they had this hot exclusive, and then not 20 minutes later, the other station was playing it. It basically follows the same formula as Davon’s “Be Your Friend”, which was another local hit from ‘02: Bmore club king Rod Lee laces up the kick/snare from the Clipse’s “Grindin’” to a new rhythm, an R&B singer does their thing, and Tim Trees flips a verse. And this one is definitely the better of the 2, with a nasty synth bass line, and a dramatic (maybe histrionic) a cappella finish from Paula. But the best is when Trees swings in for his guest spot, picking up the phone and handling her pestering ex: “homeboy, here’s the biz, I’m in the crib where you once lived, playin’ Playstation 2 wit ya kids”, while the hapless ex on the other line sputters over and over, “man, who is this?”.

i love this song. it kicks ass. but when i try to download it, it never comes up. so i just have the radio on all the time hoping that it will come on

I live in Richmond,VA and they played like once on the radio...i tried to go download it too. But i can't fine it...if u know where to find it pleeeeeeeez share!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I to have also heard this song. I live on da eastern shore of maryland in D-Town, Denton reppin Smashville holla. This song has been in my head ever since the first time i heard it. One of the hottest songs that nobody really know about. It's got a hella beat. I am still trying 2 download it but it's not workin.

it's such a crime that noone outside the Baltimore area knows this song. I'm sure y'all ILM fuxors would be all over it.

Paula's album is called "Who Got Next?", and on 92Q they said it's supposed to drop in March. any further info is pretty scarce.

i live in newark, DE and I heard it twice on the radio, this thing is HOOOOOOTTTTT! I've heard how does it feel too, by her, and it was good, but this thing is just rediculous, she needs to go national and i can't find it to download either!! someone help!!

wasup i love you new song, when i first heard it i thought it was kelis but i called the radio 93.9 and thay said it was made by U when does the cd/or video come out!

I love Paula's tracks as well and I can't find her CD for sale anywhere in Baltimore either. I recently saw her on a local cable program called XPOSE hosted by another female from Baltimore who is doin her thing as well called ENFENETEE - badgirl rapper and Paula was great. Her interview went well and her performance was wonderful as allways. Does anybody know when the album will be out. It was slated for last summer however it never hit the streets. Anyway Baltimore got some hot female talent up and comin. If anyone wants to check out the Bad girl rapper that interviewed Paula then visit x9records.com she's really hot too. Maybe these two will get together and do a song one day. I know that would be killer anyway I pray Paula goes national she's worked for it.

I'm going to see Paula open for Kanye at UMBC next week! hopefully she'll have CDs for sale or at least some info about when the album is going to drop.

im glad im not the only one who listens to the radio as much as they can to hear the song.this has been my jam for about a month now and out here in va they play it but rarely.i just found out what her name was 2day,b4 i would type in lyrics in search engines just to see if i can find out whho the artist was lol.hopefully i can find it..im interested in hearing her other stuff as well
