In the next five years there will no doubt be a repeat of the House Un-American Activities Committee (son of Tailgunner Joe McCarthy, remember?), scrutinizing the entertainment industry for pro-terrorism sympathies. When the 00s version of Roy Cohn starts grilling the artists, who's going to be in the dock, based on what? (Re "Bomb the Pentagon" - Primal Scream are British, and the UK shelters any nutjob from anywhere, so they'd be safe.) Also, based on past displays of 'integrity'/opportunism/martyrdom etc, who do you think would 'name names', and who would plead the Fifth Amendment? (That's assuming the Fifth Amendment won't be repealed in the near future.)

I think that the Coup is looking for an overseas apartment ... or trying to scrape up enough money to hire Gerry Spence for that day they're called before the HUAC's new Chairman Dan Burton (you just know it'll be him, or that other boob, Bob Barr) ... as we speak.

Though it should go without saying, Eddie Vedder and any of the clowns from Rage Against the Machine will sing like canaries. Beddie Wetter has more than a little Elia Kazan about him and Tom Morello will then come up with some byzantine rationalization about how naming names was really a subversive act (or something).

Fred Durst will keep as quiet as a tomb, tho'.

Maybe Marilyn Manson will get grilled by the "comittee", plead the Fifth Amendmant, then rush out a multi-platinum selling album based on his experiences!! Eminiem will probably just name made-up names...
