I prefer Watchtower, in the same way I prefer Keith Emerson to Peter Gabriel. That's just my opinion, though.

Plus, Watchtower sacked their singer because he wanted to sing lower. That's the sign of prog-metal integrity!

Never heard about Watchtower but I worn out my copy of Queensryche's "Operation: mindcrime"! I never took the time to further investigate the band's output but that record has to be one of the best "concept" albums progressive metal produced. Either that or something by Dream Theater...

Can we make this a search and destroy? I've also never heard of Watchtower but I remember enjoying Empire, without ever hearing any other Queensryche albums. What should we be looking up? And what's Watchtower's deal? (I could, incidentally, do without either Emerson or Gabriel.)

Watchtower=Jehovah's Witness prog-metal? And do they extensively tour subway and train stations across the land?

Yes, the Watchtower is good, but have you ever checked out the "Awake!"? Sometimes I prefer a good Awake! and, of course, the New Testament to go with it. Gotta research them footnotes, ya know. Queensryche is too cut and dried. I need the analytical insight of those weird little people at the Watchtower Tract Society in Brooklyn every now and again. You know, Jehovah's Witnesses. They rock (in a tepid sort of anti-rock way).

i go with watchtower just because queensryche is so damn terrible. i had to suffer through them opening for metallica - truly a strain on my spotty, teenaged patience.

"jet city woman" is a catchy-ass tune, though.
