N0 1-Ringo really did play the drums-not fake it.The one & only drawback. The Dave Clark 5 really and truly were, are & always will be forever THE BEST ROCK & ROLL GROUP OF ALL TIME ON BOTH SIDES OF THE CONTINENT.No one can ever top their music and NO ONE CAN EVER EVEN COME CLOSE TO THAT VIVACIOUS AND EXTREMELY MULTI-TALENTED MICHAEL SMITH.They were clean cut, very meticulous in their music, mannerisms, attitudes and how they delt with their fans. They ALWAYS found time to STOP and TALK with their fans. Some they knew by name as they saw them over & over apon returning to towns. They were really one on one with fans not like a lot of groups who just waved and ran.Numeros times they stoped on the street and talked for quite some time even to walk down the Ave with some fans. They were and always will be THE FANS KIND OF PEOPLE. The music that bellowed both from their instruments, lungs, deep from within their hearts and souls will never ever be repeated (unless only by them again as a group?)nor can ever be copied.THEY MORE THAN ANYONE ELSE ----BELONG IN THE ROCK & ROLL HALL OF FAME _RIGHT UP FRONT.Rick Huxley, Lenny Davidson,Dennis Payton & Dave Clark All helped make up this great group in backing up Mike Smith. Each one adding his expertiseTo make the best group ever.God Blessed All Of Us by giving them to us .The Best of The Best.We need to honor them.Love to all of you guys. As Always Your friend and fan. Ellen.
