In an unexpected, all-star teaming, Beyonce, Alicia Keys and Missy Elliott will jointly play more than two dozen arena concerts in March and April. The tour opens March 12 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
The combination of flashy R&B-pop star Beyonce, Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Keys and hip-hop heavyweight Elliott intrigues veteran concert industry observers.
"In this industry, we sometimes make assumptions that adding different audiences together will be appealing to fans, but that's not always the case," said Gary Bongiovanni, editor of the concert business tracking magazine Pollstar. "But as weird as this (combination) sounds, I would tend to think it's going to work."
Details on when tickets will go on sale have not been announced.
Thoughts on this grouping? Who plans on going? Who wouldn't attend if paid to do so?

I would totally go. I wonder how many articles about this, though, until someone uses the phrase "lilith fair"? ;-)

Indeed, only the addition of, say, Kelis, could turn this into the weirdest, wackiest, most unlikely juxtaposition of artists EVER ASSEMBLED!

Kelis opening for Britney, though. Even
that combination isn't weird, so much as brilliant.
