MY friend Mark can at times be an intellorable guitarist wanker. So just to annoy him i went out and bough "insult to injury" by Add n to (x). Has anyone else done somthing similar?

No, but I've PLAYED records just to piss people off...

there is a cd with things like lawn mower noise and babies crying on it that i would love to buy and play on endless loop to annoy my rude neighbours when i am not at home.

i bought an elf power record for vengeful reasons that are too stupid and my-22-year-old-self for me to get into here.

I have been accused of aiding and abetting the purchase of David Bowie's "Hunky Dory" album for this purpose. I pleaded innocent then and I do so now.

I have said I liked and disliked things in Freaky Trigger purely to piss people off, both maliciously and frivolously. They probably aren't the things you'd guess, though.

...Oh, I forgot that I purchased Metal Machine Music with the intent of turning my speakers against the wall and putting it on loop for all-day fun... but no one's pissed me off THAT much yet...

Fuck off. I'm not wasting good money on records when I can break their nose with my fist!

Listen, I have to say this: do the readers of FT have inordinate amounts of money? I make fantastic salary, enough that I can buy way too expensive shoes and plenty of CDs, but never enough to ever consider paying good money on something simply to piss someone off. Why do that when words are so much easier?

Yes, actually, I think buying records just to piss people off does seem a bit much!

I mean, why bother when you can save money making records to piss people off??!?! ;)

Why, pray, is this thread on the Classics or Duds page?

Harmless filing error, I suppose, thankfully not mine for once. Will be rectified eventually.

The Best of Uriah Heep; Pink Floyd - Umma Gumma, both to piss off my dad who says they are crap. He also hates King Crimson's "Lizard" so i'll have to buy that at first opportunity, heh heh...
