All my favorite dub albums are from the early 80s. Any of the bright blue, yellow and green cartoony Mad Professor "Dub Me Crazy" albums are worth checking out. I especially like the "Mad Professor Captures Pato Banton" (88) and the first "Dub Me Crazy" (83). "Jah Shaka Meets Mad Professor at Ariwa Sounds" (84) is ok to good.
I believe the Wackies label was primarily (only) putting out stuff in the 80s. Check out the Love Joys, Horace Andy, the Meditations, etc

I asked this on another thread but if anyone knows anything about an album called something like Rastafari Vol.1 - Vocal & Dub. It has people like Levi Judah and Hughie Izzachar on it.

Are We A Warrior by Ijahman Levi is such a beautiful track. Ah just found out it was released in 1979 - oh well that's almost 80s.
