If you had your own radio talk show, what music would you use for the bump?

I'd use "Gone Daddy Gone" because I can't think of any other radio show using a song with xylophone.

a "modern rock" radio station where I grew up always used eno's "third uncle"... i always thought that was perfect.

I produce a sports talk show. Some of the liners going in and out of the breaks that I use are "Citysong" by Luscious Jackscon, "Lips Like Sugar" by Echo + The Bunnymen, "London Calling" by The Clash, "In Between Days" by the Cure, and that damn "Scooby Snack Song" from like 1997 or whatever. I kinda like playing the new wavy and goth stuff on such a jock kind of show.

Our intro, our theme music, is Metallica's "I Disappear". It's not my favorite song in the world, but that place where the tape "stops" after :30 is a neat place for the host to start talking.

the crash at the beginning of "Army of Me" is my news sounder.

WDRE? If so, yes it was "Third Uncle," but it was Bauhaus' rendition of it.

I think I'd use "WaltzinBlack" by the Stranglers, which is music to wash blood off knives by.

I used to have my own radio program. Two actually. The second was on some dreadful commercial radio. Target group: old people who wanted some *wall paper*. I slipped in the occasional CD of mine. hah! Now I'd probably play the entire No New York CD as well as hmmmm Here Come The Warm Jets.

"Dog New Tricks" by Garbage

Keith Mansfield - Teenage Chase....Michel Legrand - Come Ray And Come Charles......Dave Pike - Big Schlepp.......John Scofield - Ideo funk...

i'd have very few listeners but they would be loyal.
