I'm looking forward to it more than most as i actually missed the world premiere demo.

pete s, Saturday, 7 February 2004 18:31 (twenty-two years ago)

They are re-releasing "Mysterious Girl" after a campaign on Chris Moyles, reason enough not to buy it, the objectionable snivveling waste of (a lot of) oxygen space that he is.

Nick H (Nick H), Saturday, 7 February 2004 20:03 (twenty-two years ago)

Yes that's a decade old for god's sake, i think we'd all like some new material now.

pete s, Saturday, 7 February 2004 20:06 (twenty-two years ago)

Was he doing it as a joke or does he actually like it? I mean, that's exactly the kind of uninspired humour he's guilty of, but his taste in music could also be accurately described as "fucking awful"...

Stupid (Stupid), Saturday, 7 February 2004 20:07 (twenty-two years ago)

i luv INSANIA. Its sooooooooooooo insaniac. Im an insania insanicac. i'm a mysterious girl insaniac

number one in march....

mark grout (mark grout), Monday, 9 February 2004 12:40 (twenty-two years ago)

Carsmile was telling me on Saturday that Moyles wanted to get "Drop The Boy" re-released instead but the Gosses were having none of it. A shame as unlike Mysterious Girl that actually is a good record. I assume he's doing it for 'a laugh', though the one time I've seen Moylesy in the flesh he looked far from amused.

Tico Tico (Tico Tico), Monday, 9 February 2004 13:00 (twenty-two years ago)

Ok what IS this Insania?! Is it made up? I've never heard it! What's going on!

And why no love for Flava.

Sarah (starry), Monday, 9 February 2004 13:17 (twenty-two years ago)

It's cos we all have the time on our computers now, he's left snivelling in the ditch poor dear

Silly Sailor (Andrew Thames), Monday, 9 February 2004 13:39 (twenty-two years ago)

'Flava' warrants no love, nor does 'I Feel You' - his other no.1 hit single fact fans (no i can't remember how it goes either)

stevem (blueski), Monday, 9 February 2004 13:45 (twenty-two years ago)

i like 'Drop The Boy' i think - Bros actually seem quite good in retrospect - 'When Will I Be Famous' and 'Cat Among The Pidgeons' especially, but let's not forget the glorious magic of 'Chocolate Box'! i'm off to read Tico's Boyband piece...

stevem (blueski), Monday, 9 February 2004 13:49 (twenty-two years ago)

Best Bros - "I Owe You Nothing". Cabbage does a terrific "ruu-oww!" Bros noise we discovered on Saturday.

Tico Tico (Tico Tico), Monday, 9 February 2004 14:12 (twenty-two years ago)

I hope they've got more words left so we can use them when we finally get to hear the single!!!! eg "Insania is utterlocks!!!!!" and "Pete Andre is a fudiot!!!"

Old Fart!!! (oldfart_sd), Monday, 9 February 2004 14:49 (twenty-two years ago)

Insania sounds like something that nobend from the Smirnoff Ice ads would say

stevem (blueski), Monday, 9 February 2004 15:19 (twenty-two years ago)

God I hate those smug hipster bastards on the Smirnoff ads.

Nick H (Nick H), Monday, 9 February 2004 19:14 (twenty-two years ago)

But they've had a hipster operation for the vodkandy man!

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Monday, 9 February 2004 19:29 (twenty-two years ago)

Is that the lyriquid perfection? Worst adverts since New Portugese Wine Explorers. Maybe even since Lambrini. What is it about drinks adverts eh?

Tico Tico (Tico Tico), Monday, 9 February 2004 19:32 (twenty-two years ago)

i keep waiting for him to say 'funkjazztical tricknology'

stevem (blueski), Monday, 9 February 2004 21:26 (twenty-two years ago)

i lost in the jungle, but i am the real winner! because i made up the word INSANIA!!! BOC! BOC! BOC!

peter andre, Tuesday, 10 February 2004 10:41 (twenty-two years ago)

i had no idea that 'mysterious girl' ws peter andre!! i only remember 'the funky junkie', that's my jam

jeremy jordan (cruisy), Tuesday, 10 February 2004 10:55 (twenty-two years ago)

"Oooooohhhhhhhhhh....insania girl"

stevem (blueski), Tuesday, 10 February 2004 10:55 (twenty-two years ago)

the thing i like about Peter Andre is that he totally adopted the Australian accent while he was out there to blend in as it were - boy got smarts! then there's the delightful image of him smothered in creepy-crawlies, his skinny legs buckling under the weight of his upper body which is actually three times the proportions of said legs, chuckle

stevem (blueski), Tuesday, 10 February 2004 10:58 (twenty-two years ago)

Did he ever release his version of "Gimme Little Sign" in the UK? If he didn't, pray nobody decides to. Although the film clip is garishly funny.

edward o (edwardo), Tuesday, 10 February 2004 10:58 (twenty-two years ago)

actually on second thoughts, no it's not, i've just remembered how dud sarcastically professing to like a shitty peter andre single is... sorry!!!

jeremy jordan (cruisy), Tuesday, 10 February 2004 10:59 (twenty-two years ago)

Umm, he is australian, stevem.

mark grout (mark grout), Tuesday, 10 February 2004 11:00 (twenty-two years ago)

ha ha.

o how soon do they forgot.

blah blah, Tuesday, 10 February 2004 11:02 (twenty-two years ago)

nonsense, guy is Scunthorpe born and bred

stevem (blueski), Tuesday, 10 February 2004 11:02 (twenty-two years ago)

edward do you remember peter's multicoloured stripey pants and the christina anu-alike dancing sarong clad love interest in funky junkie or am i just dreaming?

(omg i suddenly remember owning a 'girlfriend' style brimmed hat with big fake flower at the front)

jeremy jordan (cruisy), Tuesday, 10 February 2004 11:02 (twenty-two years ago)

oh wow i notice he covered 'get down on it' at one stage i think that was a law for all australian rnb-pop acts

jeremy jordan (cruisy), Tuesday, 10 February 2004 11:05 (twenty-two years ago)

Insania - the ring tones. In Cheesy, Blockbuster, Punk, House, Rock and Dancehall "flavas".

Is this the first time that a song has ever gone "straight to ringtone" before even being recorded?

mike t-diva, Tuesday, 10 February 2004 11:07 (twenty-two years ago)

I remember Get Down On It. It was done with rubbish New Zealand (I think) faux-R&B group Past To Present, who later changed their name to Ilanda. It was shit. It did have a nifty video though, set around the time of the introduction of colour TV.

Multi-coloured stripey pants - how can one forget? The things are burned into my retinas, they were that bright.
Sarong girl? No, can't remember.

edward o (edwardo), Tuesday, 10 February 2004 11:10 (twenty-two years ago)

Puff Daddy once recorded a rap for a Peter Andre song, I forget which one - around early 1998. When he found out how terminally naff our Pete was, he pulled out. For shame.

CharlieNo4 (Charlie), Tuesday, 10 February 2004 11:35 (twenty-two years ago)

Currently darling of the underground hip-hop scene Jemini also dropped a guest verse on an Andre song, back in the day.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Tuesday, 10 February 2004 11:36 (twenty-two years ago)

"dropped a guest verse"... D. Pass is so down with the lingo! Brilliant!

I still don't know what Insania is all about so I've got INSANE IN THE MEMBRANE stuck in my head instead, is that ok then?

Sarah (starry), Tuesday, 10 February 2004 11:37 (twenty-two years ago)

Warren G dropped one! It was crap!

Old Fart!!! (oldfart_sd), Tuesday, 10 February 2004 17:18 (twenty-two years ago)

Revive!

Why?

Cos Lots of people have been playing silly buggers at Amazon, that's why! To whit:

A selective pestilence may be the only way to go now. It's not too far from being plausible, the main problem is that you're selecting your surviving group on the genetic level which is an incredibly fascistic thing to do.

Which is why I'm in favour of spiking Lottery Tickets with a quick acting poison.

Lynskey (Lynskey), Tuesday, 24 February 2004 17:48 (twenty-two years ago)

WELL DONE PETER FOR GETTING TO NUMBER ONE!
IF ANY OF YOU ARNT FROM ENGLAND, THEN HIS RE-RELEASED MYSTERIOUS GIRL HAS HIT NUMBER ONE IN ENGLAND, SELLING 34,000 ON THE FIRST DAY!

gaol clichy (clichy), Monday, 1 March 2004 18:06 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm not from England, but this has not passed me by. Though maybe the Scots, Irish and Welsh have better things to worry about (much like all the English people who didn't fall for Moyles' shite and actually buy the thing).

ailsa (ailsa), Monday, 1 March 2004 18:10 (twenty-two years ago)

"SELLING 34,000 ON THE FIRST DAY!"
Crikey, i wonder how many will be in the bargain bins of Shug's Secondhand Emporium on it's 354th day!??!?!

Old Fart!!! (oldfart_sd), Monday, 1 March 2004 19:47 (twenty-two years ago)

five years pass...

You hurt him in his heart.
