RFI: sonar fest 2004

noone? i expect the likes of mrs jeff mills to be there to big up his latest DVD noodlings, but who else shall there be. I take it there have been no official announcments. The website doesn't say anything about who's playing yet...

jeff mills has just toured bcn, madrid etc for his new album, so it would be a bit much for him to come down again. especially as his album is out on sonars rec. label. but he brings in the $$$$$ so i guess myabe. ed/suzy seem to get some sort of sneak preview of the lineup (they did last year i think), so wait for their word

we are temnpted to go on holiday during sonar and rent our flat out for millions of pounds though....

Thanks for that anyway. This'll be my first trip there so I shall have to interrogate my friend who was there last year re: where to best to stay etc. (sorry, millions of pounds is outside my budget). Are there hostels and things near the venues? Bet they put there prices up around that time though.

the daytime venues are (unless everything changes) in the centre, in raval, so theres hotels/hotels a plenty around, but they still nedd booking. i dont really have any recommendations cos ive not stayed in one. apparently the one at the bottom of my road is shit, for example. but i dont know. but its all walking distance. its not toom uch of a pain in the ass to sty outside the centre, in eixample, or even furhter out. there are etaxis a plenty, the metro is good, as are the buses, and all the nighttime stuff is practically in the next town along so they have to be reached by bus anyway. this is all true as long as nothing has changed for this year.

any one else thinking of coming?
