Oi, yesterday's question about yesteryear's e-vision entry!?

Um, me recalls that last year there were a coupla songs in the competitions - Romania's, say - that I kinda liked more than the 'stonian entry...
Just last night I heard the one they want to get through to the finals, if luck would so have it, this year. It goes for a 'folksy women's vox with mad drumming' thingy, mostly - well, the TV-watchers prevalently voted for that particular song. And so that will be it. Me, I dunno really. (And to be honest, don't care too much either way) But my daughter is the eurovision fan in our family and she really hates that new song, heheh.

Yeah, Eighties Coming Back. That was the greatest Eurovision entry ever.

Ruffus! It was great - the Iceland one last year was also very good, and Tatu though their performance suXored.

Are Estonia in the feeder leagues this year or are they definitely in there - I can never understand who gets and doesnt get to be in Eurovision, and there always seems to be some fannydangle with the format.

'stonia has to compete in some sort of 'semi finals' first. who else 'll be in the semi's, me not remembers. (but as for the general procedure, i think there were pretty precise comments on ILE last year ...or the year before that, when the 'finals' took place)

btw, this year's 'stonian song, i kid you not, is called "Tii",
te-hee!

Eighties Coming Back was awesome. I thought Estonia would go with the song caled "Dance" (unless I've downloaded an erroneously labeled file that belongs to another country) - it's pretty nifty.

I predict Turkey will score nil points this year.

eight months pass...
I've finally downloaded it. It is bloody brilliant, isn't it? except mine seems to be by some people called 'Claire's Birthday'. I think that might've been what Ruffus were called before, though.

Fun Ruffus fact, from fact-index.com:

Margus Tohver (drums) was born in 1971 in Tallinn. During the 1980s he played in the first Estonian trash-metal band Palat. He is a loyal fan of Sheffield United.

Ruffus were Claire's Birthday. Their album, "Future Is Now!" was not half bad at all.
