rising high records

Can anyone suggest a decent compilation of early stuff on this label, and where I may find it?

Amazon lists a compilation called 'Techno Classics vol 1', but doesn't give a date or any info, so I'm not sure if this is the right thing to go for.

Also - Rising High: S+D, Casper Pound: CoD?, etc...

Also, any suggestions for similar compilations appreciated, e.g. Force Inc

i'm afraid Rising High were very overrated and i wouldn't recommend any of their compilations. there were a couple of ok hypnotist 12s, and the hookup with Harthouse was good, but then they were Harthouse records rather than Rising High.

Force Inc, a huge back catalogue, i wouldn't even know when to start, but there is a good 12" by Gizz TV & Walker.

i'm afraid i havne't been very helpful, suggest some other labels and maybe i'll do a bit better.

Search: "No Deeper Love" - Rising High Collective. Absolutely gorgeous stuff with Plavka in full diva mode. Also look for the _Rising High: Techno Injection_ compilations, particularly volume 2.

I def DO like Rising High coz a friend of mine played me some early 12"s, mostly by Caspar Pound under various different names. I'm looking for the early hardcore-ish stuff, not the noodly stuff which comes later

Search: Total Confusion by A Homeboy, A Hippie & A Funky dread

Released in the early 90's, a stone cold classic hardcore type thing, also used in some movie (which I've conveniently forgotten, possibly some Hong Kong action film).

Their follow-up single I remember as not being so utterly fantastic, but if you can find it - buy it! On second thoughts, this may have come out on Tam Tam (I can't check as I'm at work), but I _think_ it was Rising High.

yes it was indeed on Tam Tam. i'm not sure, but this record may well have been on The Word tvshow
