who the hell are 98 degrees?

I like the Newlyweds more than the Osbournes, I mean I fucking love that show, but I am confused. I know Jessica Simpson is a repulsive childish arch Republican, but who the fuck is chunkyboy standing next to her? He's called Nick leche or something and comes from this 98 degrees band. How long was this band around, where they successfull? I am trying to get my head around this show, the couple seem utterly mismatched so I feel I need a little background.

Indeed -- middling, uncreative, formulaic, but built. They wanted Boyz II Men's sound coupled with the BSB look and fanbase. Their hits included the ballad "The Hardest Thing" (which inadvertently referred to A.J. Hammer trying to interview them on VH1) and the ludicrous uptempo song "Give Me Just One Night (Una Noche)."
