Death of a Fan (time to be happy)

Inspired by a quick search in a pile of 12" at a crummy second hand record store, during which I found A.R. Kane's "69", "i", "When You're Sad", "Lolita", "Love-Sick" & "Listen Up" - all in mint condition, just when I wanted to move on from AR Kane mpegs.

This thread is mainly to say how happy I am to have this find, but also for people to mention when they huge stockpiles of artist (most likely resulting from a single fan clearing their collection) just as you were getting into them.

I got two 23 Skidoo records in pretty quick succession once. I think the same guy sold Mission of Burma's 'Vs' too. Thanks, man.

This totally happpened to me with the Pixies when I was 13 or so. Thrift store, scored like four albums. Still have 'em!

you can always tell when you go to a smaller used record/cd store when someone needs or money or given up, the common thread connect what they have given up as you browse through it in the new arrivals. kind of sad.

yeah i see this all the time at this used cd store i go to, particularly with early 90's hip hop.
