Anyone heard it/got it?
Don't know whether to get it or not, I love Nixon, have never investigated anything prior to that. I bought Is A Woman, liked it but to be honest I don't think I've ever gone back to it more than a couple of times (I still listen to Nixon though)

Any opinions greatly received

I've got it... it's more like Nixon with the last one, with the big syrupy 60s soul orchestration and all that. It's a bit long and a bit samey but there are some lovely moments on there.

Second disk - not as good, though. A mish-mash with no theme. Though the Mary Tyler Moore theme rules.

Hey Doomie, it's all about Steve McQueen on the first disk. It's a bit cold and grey for this album at the moment... it's a summer album.

Oh, and it looks like the falsetto is gone for good.

I really think Kurt Wagner's voice is going though, which is sad. On this record it sounds like he can't hold any note for more than a fraction of a second.

I interviewed him - the lyrics are beautiful on this one - I correctly guessed the influence to be Johnny Mercer! Hooray!

question. did Kurt Wagner pop up on a Morcheeba track? A co-worker was playing them and i coulda sworn i heard Kurt's voice singing a chorus. i would be mortified if that were the case.
