Hip Hop Albums without intros or skits (made in the last 5 years)?

When was the last time you heard a hip hop album (not a really old one) that didn't have an intro or skits between the songs? The Black Album didn't have any full blown skits (unless you count the thing at the beinning of Threats), but how many others have their been in the last 5 years? I can't think of many. Maybe some of the DefJux records, I don't think Cannibal Ox has skits.

And, can you name any hip hop albums that would really be WORSE without the skits? The only ones I can think of where I don't skip the skits after the first few listens are Deltron 3030, Dr. Octagon, Prince Among Thieves (special case, obviously), and The Carnival.

I think the Jaylib record has one skit.. which is pretty good comparatively.

Skits are a good idea anyway ;)

Canibus - Rip The Jacker.

I love this record and no ILMaz seem to be into it. But its completely fat-free. 11 tracks. All beats and rhymes - no bullshit. 2003's best hip-hop record for those very reasons. I'd say its perfect or damn near it.

I mean if you haven't heard this shit you really need to hear it. There's nothing else like it. And Canibus has been one of the best rappers in the game since he came out - regardless of how whack his beats may have up to Mic Club.

I don't think Cannibal Ox has skits.

Judging from the difference between the single version of "Iron Galaxy" and the way it appears on The Cold Vein that "it's a cold world out there" bit at the beginning might be a pseudo-intro-skit of sorts.

God's Son didn't have any intros or skits, did it?

And De La Soul is Dead without the skits might flow better, but you miss out on the greatest rap skit one-liner ever: "Wha'd'you know about music, hamster penis?"

Yeah, any Prince Paul skit is completely great. My personal favorite is "The Drive By" on Politics Of The Business. Thats just fucking clever the way he sets it up to sound like its going to be an actual drive by...
