Eleventh Dream Day: C or D?

I've only ever owned "BEET" but just noticed they've rereleased a bunch of stuff on the "Collector's Choice" label (I think that was the label, unless just a little icon to encourage you to buy the thing). Anyway, I was wondering what the general consensus was and which other albums were good. I like Beet quite a bit. Sounds kinda like a nice blend of Husker Du, Sonic Youth and the Pixies when they were all decent.

I love Eleventh Dream Day - but I think they sound like they're trying to be the Dream Syndicate - which isn't a bad thing, but I don't think they were too original.

I can't listen to them without prejudice, having lived in Chicago at the time they were popular - brings back memories.

A largely underestimated and very solid group. The guitarist is deeply influenced by Neil Young's rockier guitar play. Their latest album "Stalled Parade" sounds very much like a less dynamic version of Sonic Youth. Quite eclectic but definitely worth the money. The preceding album "Eighth" was also quite good. Especially the instrumental "Insomnia" is a gem. Melody and distortion meet to create a very slow sad piece of music. The kind of indie rock I love.
