I'm trying to find the song title and composer for a song that I've heard in at least one television commercial but I do not know for what. This song was used in the film "Carlito's Way" but is not featured on either of the two soundtracks available for purchase. The song is characterized by a duet of two female singers and is used in the scene when Carlito (Pacino) is watching Gail (Miller) at her ballet class from outside in the rain. Any clue? Thanks.

Does it sound like it's from an opera?

I haven't seen Carlito's Way, but from your description it sounds like it might be the Flower Duet from Lakme by Leo Delibes. This has also been used in ads for British Airways (and other things, surely).
